How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

  1. The scheme provides the opportunity for the best early stage post-doctoral researchers from all over the world to work at UK research institutions for a period of two years. Applicants must be working outside the UK, have a PhD, or will have a PhD by the time the funding starts, have no more than 7 years of active full time postdoctoral experience at the time of application (discounting career breaks, but including teaching experience and/or time spent in industry) and have a clearly defined and mutually-beneficial research proposal agreed with a UK host scientist. Please note that a Head of Department statement of support will need to accompany an application, so please give the HoD notice well in advance of a submission. Newton Fellowships last for two years. Funding consists of 拢24,000 per annum for subsistence costs, and up to 拢8,000 per annum research expenses, as well as a one-off payment of up to 拢2,000 for relocation expenses.

Applicants can be from anywhere in the world, but additional funding is available for Newton Fund partner countries: include Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kazahkstan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Phillipines, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.
