How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

The Ministry of Defence鈥檚 Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, through the Defence and Security Accelerator, invites applications for its space to innovate competition. This supports research on space technologies that may not otherwise be developed in the civil space industry. The call has the following focus areas:

鈥echnologies for defending future UK space assets;

鈥ovel sensing and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance enablers;

鈥haracterisation of objects in space and their intent;

鈥vercoming the technical issues of space to sea level optical communications.

Projects are expected to achieve at least technology readiness level 3 by the end of phase 1 but can potentially reach up to TRL 6 in later phases. Solutions currently at or above TRL 6 in a civilian environment may be eligible for funding where the technology requires development to operate in a defence and security environment.

Applications are open to all types of organisations, including those in academic organisations, SMEs and large companies in the UK or overseas.

The competition is envisaged to have two phases with an overall budget of at least 拢2.25 million. Phase 1 projects are worth up to 拢200,000 for up to one year. Additional funding may be available for further phases to increase maturity beyond that achieved through phase 1.
