How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

The Brazilian State Funding Agencies, articulated by its National Council (CONFAP), the Royal Society, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the British Academy and the Newton Fund invite proposals for their fellowships for UK researchers in Brazil. These enable UK researchers to develop the strengths and capabilities of their research groups through training, collaboration and reciprocal visits with partners in research groups in Brazil.

Young researchers, who have held their PhD for between two and seven years, as well as senior researchers who have held a PhD for more than seven years, may apply. Applicants must hold a permanent academic post or postdoctoral position in the UK that extends beyond the grant period, and must have a Brazilian-based collaborator as a co-applicant. Researchers may be from the natural sciences, engineering, medical sciences, including clinical and patient-oriented research, as well as social sciences and humanities fields. Researchers who aim to work at universities and research institutes in the State of S茫o Paulo, Brazil, must be associated with a S茫o Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) PI who is in charge of an ongoing grant, such as thematic, young investigator or research, innovation and diffusion of knowledge centres.

The following types of fellowships are available:

鈥or young researchers – including a monthly scholarship of BRL 7,000, travel expenses and health insurance, scholarship for one undergraduate student to assist and a grant worth BRL 25,000 each six months;

鈥or senior researchers – including a monthly scholarship of BRL 10,000, travel expenses and health insurance, scholarship for one undergraduate student to assist and a grant worth BRL 25,000 each six months.

FAPESP provides fellowships for visitors to S茫o Paulo that include a monthly scholarship worth between BRL 10,680 and BRL 15,870, travel expenses and health insurance, scholarship for one undergraduate assistant and a grant to the host principle investigator worth up to BRL 25,000 for every six months of the visitor staying.
