The Royal Society, in partnership with the Wolfson Foundation, invites nominations for the Wolfson research merit awards. These enable universities to recruit, or keep in the UK, respected researchers in all areas of the life and physical sciences, including engineering, but excluding clinical medicine. Awards are made to the university and researchers must remain at the university named on the application. Researchers may be of any nationality but must hold or have received a firm offer for a permanent post at a UK university. Awards take the form of salary enhancements and are usually worth from £10,000 to £30,000 per year over a maximum period of five years. Research expenses may be considered for overseas researchers to support integration into the UK research environment. |
