The Royal Society and the Leverhulme Trust invite applications for their senior research fellowships. These enable researchers to focus on full-time research by relieving them of all their teaching and administrative duties. Candidates may be working in all areas of the life and physical sciences, including engineering, but excluding clinical medicine. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent and hold a permanent post at a UK university or eligible non-profit institution. They must be at a stage in their career where they have an independent research team and would particularly benefit from a period of full-time research. Mid-career candidates are particularly encouraged to apply. Fellowships include salary costs and research expenses of up to 拢2,500 to cover the cost of consumables, equipment and travel. Fellowships are tenable for a period between one academic term and one year. A total of seven fellowships are provided each year. |
