How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

The Science and Technology Facilities Council and the Newton Fund invite applications for beam time access. Free access to beam time instruments is provided for academic and industry researchers at the ISIS research centre. Direct access, rapid access, express access and access for industry is available.

Applications must outline the scientific case for each experiment and all results must be published in the public domain. Undergraduate and postgraduate students may apply in collaboration with their supervisor as a principal investigator.

Up to two researchers from China and India may receive additional funding to cover flights, accommodation and food costs for the duration of their visit.

The second round of the 糖心TV Impact Fund is now open for proposals, with a deadline of Monday 16th October 2017.

The Fund is available to support activities that increase the reach and significance of non-academic impact from leading research.

This could include, but is not limited to:

  • Projects and/or activities designed to maximise the reach and significance of potential impact case studies;
  • Inward and/or outward Impact Fellowships, Secondments, & Exchange Schemes;
  • Engagement Days for Industry and/or other external stakeholders.

Proposals are invited for projects/activities that will be delivered between 1st January 2018 and 31st March 2020, up to a maximum value of £100,000. All expenditure must be complete on or by 31st March 2020.

A rolling monthly programme for small grants of up to £10,000 will be introduced in the near future, but during the interim period, such bids will also be accepted into this Round of the Fund.
