Wellcome Trust and the Indian Department of Biotechnology invite applications for their early-career fellowships. These enable newly qualified postdoctoral researchers to carry out biomedical research relevant to human and animal welfare in laboratories in India. This scheme provides an opportunity to help researchers make an early start in establishing their own research programme. Applicants must be basic science or veterinary researchers who are in the final year of their PhD or have no more than four years of postdoctoral research experience. Fellowships must not be carried out at the laboratory where the fellow conducted their PhD thesis. Fellowships are tenable for five years and provide personal support, research expenses, including research assistance and additional allowances such as travel and overseas subsistence. |
