Call for outlines The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the Arts and Humanities Research Council invite outline proposals for their content creation and consumption in the digital economy call. Proposals should address at least one the following themes: •enabling and facilitating content creation for experiences and creativity; •immersion in new forms of experiences; •big data in content creation and consumption; •sustainable end-to-end creation models; •content creation: inclusion and exclusion. A broad interpretation of each research theme is taken; no specific areas are excluded. |

NO DEADLINE The Science and Technology Facilities Council invites applications for its return to research support bursary. This enables those seeking to resume an academic research career to develop a proposal suitable for submission to the STFC fellowship scheme. Activities undertaken may include literature reviews, familiarisation with equipment and techniques, and attendance at meetings and seminars. The period of absence could be due to family or caring responsibilities, long-term illness or working in a non-research role. Applicants must have a PhD in, and focus their application on, an area relevant to STFC-funded research. A break from active research of at least two years is normally required, but applications may be accepted from those who have had shorter breaks and do not have right to return to their previous employer. The bursary may be held at any UK institution with a recognised expertise in areas funded by STFC. The award is worth up to £2,500 over six months. Eligible costs may include additional childcare, or other care and travel to the host institution or to meetings. |
