Events in Physics
The Science and Technology Facilities Council invites applications for the Ernest Rutherford fellowships. These enable early-career researchers from the UK and overseas to establish an independent research programme. Proposals should be in the fields of astronomy, solar and planetary science, particle physics, particle astrophysics, cosmology and nuclear physics.
Applicants may be of any nationality and must not yet hold a permanent academic position. Fellowships may be held at any eligible UK research organisation. Candidates who intend to use the fellowship as a means of re-establishing themselves in the UK following a period overseas are welcomed to apply.
A total of 11 fellowships, tenable for five years, are available for directly incurred costs, salary, travel, equipment and consumables, visas, publication costs and indirect costs.
