Events in Physics
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites entries for its science photo competition. This recognises photos demonstrating research in action, in order to support excellence and promote the benefits of UK engineering and physical sciences. Entrants are invited under the following five categories:
鈥quipment and facilities – images of the equipment, facilities and tools used in research;
鈥ureka and discovery – images that reflect a eureka moment or new discoveries and understanding that arise from your research;
鈥nnovation – images of research that has inspired innovation or is related to commercial breakthroughs;
鈥eople and skills – images of people working as part of a research team, taking part in or affected by the research;
鈥eird and wonderful – unusual, eye-catching and bizarre images arising from research.
EPSRC-supported researchers and EPSRC-supported doctoral students may submit. They must be able to provide a valid EPSRC grant reference number. Each individual may submit up to three entries to the competition.
Prizes do not have a fixed value, but previous years' prizes have included equipment to the value of 拢500.
