Events in Physics
The Australian Academy of Science invites nominations for the Selby fellowship. This enables overseas scientists to visit Australia for public lecture or seminar tours, and to visit scientific centres in Australia. Fellows are expected to increase public awareness of science and scientific issues and be outstanding lecturers to the general lay public. Visits to as many areas of Australia as possible, including Western Australia, are encouraged.
Distinguished overseas scientists, who have a strong public lecturing abilities, may be nominated.
The fellowship is worth up to AUD 15,000 and covers economy airfares and living expenses over visits of two weeks to three months
