Events in Physics
The second round of calls for proposals under phase three of the UK India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) is now open. Closing date of 20th October 2017.
UKIERI funding is designed to support collaborative costs of joint research projects between the UK and India, with a significant portion of the funding expected to support exchanges between the research teams in the two countries. This fund is not subject to ODA eligibility criteria.
Grants of up to £50,000 are available for successful proposals. More information on UKIERI can be found here.
In summary, there are two calls, one of which has a clear thematic focus:
1) DST-UKIERI call
Themes:
Cyber Physical Systems (cyber security & big data focussing on cities and urbanisation)
· Environmental Sciences (circular economy - impact of climate change, water quality, food security)
Future Manufacturing (cross cutting with Environmental Sciences and Cyber Physical- including Future Mobility inc. alternative fuels).
2) UGC-UKIERI
Research in all areas/ disciplines will be accepted.
