Rosetrees Trust invites applications for its young enterprise fellowships. These support recently qualified postdoctoral researchers primarily in the fields of engineering, computer science, maths and physics who wish to develop a long-term programme of biomedical research within a UK university. Projects should be truly innovative rather than an extension of current research. The fellow鈥檚 skills should be applied to address an important unmet clinical problem, to develop scientific independence and establish new collaborations across disciplines in the field.
Applicants must either be in the final year of PhD studies or be an early-career researcher with up to three years postdoctoral experience. They must not yet have held a full-time permanent academic post in a UK university or be in receipt of another stipendiary fellowship. All candidates must hold a doctorate by the time they take up the fellowship. The host institution must be a UK university. Applicants are expected to move to a new institution and department, however, may stay at their current institution if they can demonstrate that an innovative programme of research can be delivered.
Awards are worth up to 拢60,000 per year for three years for salary and other research expenses.
