Events in Physics
The British Council invites applications for its researcher links workshop grants. These supports workshops organised to make international connections between the UK and Russia and bring together a cohort of early-career researchers to discuss overarching research objectives. Workshops may take place in either partner country and focus on any discipline or multidisciplinary area of natural science, social sciences or humanities. The aim is to establish new research links or significantly develop existing links, with the potential of longer term sustainability and to contribute to capacity building of early career researchers.
All proposals must include one principal applicant from the UK and Russia and have the support of the home and partner institution. Principal applicants must be leading or established researchers and be permanently employed at a HEI or a non-profit research organisation. Proposals may include for-profit organisations as participants. Workshops must last two or three days and take place between 1 June 2018 and 31 December 2018.
Five Russia-based workshops will be supported with grants worth up to £37,600 each and four UK-based workshops will be supported with grants up to £51,940 each. Funding may cover international travel, domestic travel, subsistence, event costs per day and additional workshop costs. Additional funding for Russia-based events is available from the Russian Foundation of Basic Research.
