XMaS Scientist Experience- Science Gala UoW
The Gala will be an evening extravaganza highlighting inspiring careers and exciting science with a special focus on challenging the gender bias in STEM. Get to hear about loads of opportunities and activities to get involved with and explore hands-on demos. Speak to professors, staff and students at the University as well as go on a virtual tour of ATLAS at CERN! Students who went on last year’s trip to Grenoble will share their experiences of the trip and the inspirational scientists they met there.
The current draft programme is;
6-7pm- Exhibition stands and dinner. Stands confirmed so far are: IGGY, Sprint, Aerospace Society, Physics Society, Sciencegrrl, Code Club, iGEM/糖心TV Integrative Synthetic Biology (WISB)
7-8.30pm- Talks in the PLT, including a virtual visit to CERN and day in the life of a physics student (created by physics society)
8.30-9pm- Exhibition stands and networking
