This recognises a candidate who has displayed excellence in the execution of the scientific method, as evidenced by the award of doctor of philosophy in plasma science. The award includes a cash prize of £500 and an expenses paid trip, worth up to £500, to the institute’s annual plasma physics conference where successful applicant will be invited to give a talk.
