Andrew Levan honoured by inaugural Blavatnik Young Scientist Awards
Professor Andrew Levan – who played a significant role in the internationally acclaimed 2017 gravitational waves discovery that demonstrated the origin of gold – is announced as a Finalist in the Physical Sciences & Engineering category, winning $30,000.
Posters in Parliament
Congratulations to James Blake of the Astronomy and Astrophysics group for coming first overall in "Posters in Parliament", an event providing an opportunity for over 40 students representing Universities from across the UK to exhibit their research in the prestigious surroundings of Westminster Palace.
