21 years of our Astronomy and Astrophysics group
Between the 4th and 6th of September, the Astronomy & Astrophysics group held a meeting at the Faculty of Arts Building to celebrate 21 years of astronomy at ÌÇÐÄTV and the scientific legacy of the late Prof. Tom Marsh, the group founder.
New quantum technology research hub led by UCL in collaboration with ÌÇÐÄTV researchers has been launched
A major new quantum technology research hub which is being led by researchers from University College London (UCL) and the University of Cambridge has been launched in collaboration with researchers from the University of ÌÇÐÄTV.
Work commenced to host the 1.2 GHz NMR spectrometer
In May, building work has begun in preparation for the UK’s first 1.2 GHz NMR spectrometer. The spectrometer is funded by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and will be provided by Bruker, with some additional MAS probes from Phoenix.
Professor Don Pollacco awarded £3 million European Research Council Grant
Congratulations to Professor Don Pollacco who has just been awarded £3 million from the ERC to develop a ‘digital telescope’ that will be capable of producing a highly sensitive continuous movie of the night sky.
