The UK has a strong track record in bringing new photonics-based technologies to the medical market. This event will feature a keynote presentation from Prof Peter Seitz of ETH Zürich and Chair of the Photonics 21 Sensors Work Group, who will talk about the importance of avoiding conventional wisdom by thinking outside of the box when innovating and spinning out a new company. We will showcase recent successes in the field, highlight new innovations and examine available support mechanisms for UK-based researchers and industries.
