Webinar on Smart tools for pest and disease management in protected edible crops

A range of new Smart tools and technologies are being developed to help growers manage pests and diseases in protected edible crops. The H2020 Thematic Network has identified and reviewed the range that is available to European growers. This webinar focuses on some of the tools and techniques that can be applied in protected edible crops.

Presentations were as follows:

14.00 'Introduction to the SmartProtect project' by Rosemary Collier, University of 糖心TV.

14.05 'Sensor technology in commercial horticulture, barriers and opportunities' by Ant Surrage from - who specialise in assisting professional growers to solve horticultural problems, from help with crop health to sustainable ways of managing their business and new ways of working.

14.20 'Automated pest insect monitoring and forecasting' by Bo拧tjan Bo啪i膷 from whose traps and on-line system can provide a real-time overview of pest insect activity, forecast future pest situations and simulate different plant protection scenarios.

14.35 'Ecosystem of monitoring tools' by Liam Harvey from who are working on a number of for protected crops.
