Lithium carbonate is an essential material in the production of lithium-ion batteries (LiBs), which power everything from medical devices, consumer electronics to electric vehicles and energy storage systems. Eligibility: UK (Home) Students. Ideal candidates should hold or expect to gain a first-class or a high 2.1 honour degree and/or a master鈥檚 degree (or their equivalent) in one of the following areas before the start date of the project:

  • Polymer Science
  • Chemical Engineering

The ideal candidate should understand and have experience in polymer synthesis and structure characterisation, and is able t challenge the state of the art in emerging technology applications.
