HPSG Speaker Series: Dr Rob Allan, Senior Technical Officer for Daresbury Laboratory, UK

On Wednesday 28th January we will be hosting Dr Rob Allan, a Senior Technical Officer of the Daresbury Laboratory in the UK.
Dr Allan's talk will centre on the computational sciences work being conducted at the Hartree centre connected to Daresbury. Much of this work is multi-disciplinary and ranges across academia, government and industry.
Specifically, the centre develops efficient multi-scale simulation technologies for energy, life sciences, the environment and material sciences. Naturally this work requires a great deal of computer science expertise including parallel algorithms, image or large volume data processing and performance related computing.
