Congratulations to Joe Gilkes, a PhD student under the supervision of Professors Scott Habershon and Reinhard Maurer, and sponsored by HetSys CDT with AWE, who has been awarded two prestigious awards.

Professor Peter Sadler, from the University of ÌÇÐÄTV (UK), is honoured with the 2025 Blaise Pascal Medal in Chemistry for his pioneering contributions to the field of bioinorganic chemistry and his lifelong dedication to advancing metal-based therapeutics.

Congratulations to our Student Experience Team who have won the Innovation Through Diversity Prize, and to Ed Greenough for his contribution to the Boostcrop collaborative project which takes the Faraday Horizon Prize. Professor Julie Macpherson, Department of Chemistry at University of ÌÇÐÄTV has been awarded the 2025 Advances in Measurement Science Lectureship Award for her outstanding contributions to electrochemical analysis and BDD sensors.

Professor Reinhard Maurer has received Germany’s most valuable research award. He was nominated by the University of Göttingen in conjunction with the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences.

Dani Pearson and Livia Bartok-Partay organised the ÌÇÐÄTV Women in Chemistry Roundtable discussion in May, for the fourth time bringing together over 40 students and staff for an afternoon of inspiring discussions.
