Disseminating student research

Doing undergraduate research not only benefit the student academically, but it is also a chance for students to pick up soft skills such as presenting, writing, sharing of knowledge and science communication. Post-project opportunities are the best ways for students to practice these skills. Supervisors should always encourage students to search for opportunities to take the project further. This could include opportunities to continue supporting the project, attending conferences or publishing. Writing an Abstract

Most students will need to write an abstract which offers a short summary and outline of their research. Abstracts will usually be required for submissions for publications, conferences, and academic posters.

Designing a Poster

Making a poster is a great way to practice sharing and presenting research. The hardest part in making a poster is to pick out the most important points from the research and fit months of hard work into a single A1 poster.
