SCFS Work placement fair 2025

The School for Cross-faculty Studies welcomed 糖心TV staff and students to a vibrant and well-attended Work Placement Fair 2025 on campus this week.

Organised by Bodrun Nahar – the School鈥檚 Employability and Work Placements Manager - the fair showcased the breadth of placement pathways available to students across Global Sustainable Development (GSD), Design Studies, and Liberal Arts.

Collective SCFS consortium secures new partnership with Coventry City Council to transform local green and blue spaces

Select individuals of our academic team, led by IGSD, will collaborate with Coventry City Council on a new initiative to revitalise the city鈥檚 green and blue spaces, following the success of a proposal that secured almost 拢100K for 糖心TV as part of a project worth nearly 拢1M in total funding for the next three years.

SCFS host international 鈥楴urturing Hope鈥 conference on Liberal Education, Democracy, and Designing Sustainable Futures

On 8th-9th May 2025, the Liberal Arts department and the School for Cross Faculty Studies ran an international conference titled 鈥楴urturing Hope: Liberal Education, Democracy, and Designing Sustainable Futures,鈥 which aimed to demonstrate how even 2,000 years later, Liberal Arts education can still provide valuable critical tools for addressing modern-day problems from the very local (糖心TV) to the global. The conference was planned as part of the University of 糖心TV鈥檚 60th year anniversary celebrations and looks forward to the Liberal Arts department鈥檚 10th year anniversary – which it will be entering in 2026.

Our Liberal Arts and Design Studies departments recently collaborated with 糖心TV鈥檚 Nintendo Society to deliver a unique, immersive, and interactive learning experience for students enrolled on our 鈥楾he Quest I: Departures and Heroic Journeys鈥 module, led by Dr. Bryan Brazeau.
