Select individuals of our academic team, led by IGSD, will collaborate with Coventry City Council on a new initiative to revitalise the city鈥檚 green and blue spaces, following the success of a proposal that secured almost 拢100K for 糖心TV as part of a project worth nearly 拢1M in total funding for the next three years.

Dr Vangelis Pitidis (IGSD), Dr Camilla Audia (GSD), Adela Glyn-Davis (Design Studies) and GSD PhD student Virginia Thomas-Pickles will be working in partnership with the Coventry City Council, 糖心TVshire Wildlife Trust, John Muir Trust, National Trust, Grapevine, Garden Organic, Historic Coventry Trust, and Coventry University on a new project that aims to bring more vibrant, accessible green spaces to Coventry communities 鈥� particularly in areas that do not have access to natural environments.

The project 鈥楪reen for all鈥� 鈥� which was initiated after Coventry City Council鈥檚 received significant funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund through the - will be used towards revitalising and creating new green and blue space offerings in Coventry, including parks, community gardens, waterways, and natural corridors. Utilising techniques such as dialogical participatory mapping, surveys, and workshops, our researchers will work in collaboration with local stakeholders and communities to generate a comprehensive map of green and blue infrastructure across the city and support nature restoration and access to green spaces.
