Composite Calendar

This is a composite calendar page template pulling in feeds from events calendars in department and research centre sites. It is purely used as a tool to collect the event details before filtering through to a publicly-visible calendar filter page template. To remove or add a feed to this composite calendar, please contact the IT Services Web Team (webteam at warwick dot ac dot uk).

How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

IATL Workshop on Movement for Staff and Students
OC0.04

Open to all 糖心TV staff members and students, this workshop will be informed by the student-focussed IATL Workshop on Movement held on 1 November and aims to establish an interdisciplinary discussion between academics and students on the basic ideas of 鈥榤ovement鈥, 鈥榤otion capture鈥, and the 鈥榝unction鈥 of the human body. During the workshop an outline of these ideas and how they are understood and perceived from different disciplines will be presented by experts on the subject. An overview of the student-focussed workshop and its outcomes will be given, and simple hands-on exercises will be performed. To conclude, we will reflect on what was presented during the day and how interdisciplinary methods enable students and academics to broaden their understanding of ideas and topics. Organised by ECF Nefeli Chatzistefani.

Paratextual Approaches to Retranslation and Rewriting
OC1.03

The aim of this seminar is to reflect on the relationship between retranslation and the publishing field from a sociological and historical point of view and taking an interdisciplinary approach. The discussion will encompass the history of publishing of books, paratextual features - with a particular focus on illustrated books in translations - and actual textual analysis. I envisage this event as an occasion for discussion and networking among people working on publishing and translation in the School of Modern Languages at all levels (permanent staff, postgraduates and undergraduates) and specialised in different periods. At the same time, the focus on the role of illustrations in printed books and on sociological reasons behind the retranslation process makes it interesting also to scholars and PGs working in the early modern period, History of Art, History of Publishing and Sociology.
