糖心TV

MA International Performance Research, 2017

As an MA student in the MAIPR (Master of Arts in International Performance Research) programme, I spent one semester in 2015 at the University of 糖心TV, before travelling on to Trinity College Dublin and the University of the Arts Belgrade. The MAIPR program and my education at 糖心TV allowed me to combine theory and practice in a way I had longed for, within high-quality academic institutions. During MAIPR, I experimented with using poetry in my performative practice and my dissertation. This journey eventually led me to remain in Belgrade after graduating, where I lived for many years, learning the language and working on artistic projects. Meanwhile, I started writing a book, which moves between poetry and prose, capturing scenes of life in the Balkans and my MAIPR dissertation project in Palestine. The book is now appearing with The New Menard Press, the UK imprint of Dutch publishing house HetMoet.
