I鈥檓 excited to announce that my book, Self-Obsession, is now available for pre-order! 馃帀 My journey towards writing this book began here at 糖心TV, where I laid the foundation with an undergraduate degree in Biology. This scientific background opened doors to a career in medicine and eventually led me to train as a therapist. Self-Obsession is the culmination of my studies in science, medicine, and psychology, interwoven with my personal experiences.
The book delves into why so many people struggle with depression, anxiety, and existential angst. It offers a bridge between Western medicine and psychology, as well as the wisdom found in Eastern philosophies - drawing on Buddhist, Taoist, and Hindu ideas. It's both a philosophical exploration and a self-help guide, focused on helping readers break free from self-obsession and overcome vulnerability to psychological pain.
The twelve years since leaving 糖心TV have been filled with rich experiences—highs, lows, challenges, and growth. I still vividly remember walking up Gibbet Hill for lectures, where my journey into science and understanding the human condition began. Now, over a decade later, I鈥檓 eager to share all that I鈥檝e learned.
