Advice regarding the current situation in the Middle East
If you are planning overseas travel, we advise you consult the and local authorities for the latest information and advice relating to the area you wish to visit.
You should also be aware of the potential for travel disruption on both outbound and return journeys. Conditions may change quickly, and you are advised to take this into account when making decisions about whether or not to travel.
In the event that you are outside the UK and experiencing disruption to flights or travel routes which mean you are unable to return as expected, please contact your academic department in the first instance (personal tutor or programme office). They will be able to offer reassurance and advice if you’re concerned about the impact of missing scheduled teaching or assessments while overseas. Maintaining regular communication with your department is the best way to ensure that any disruption is properly recorded and that the appropriate support can be provided.
We encourage you to reach out to our support teams if you are struggling or have been affected in anyway:
- Wellbeing and Student Support
- The Chaplaincy (for those of any religion, or none)
- Your Personal Tutor
If you hold a Student Visa, please also be reminded to keep your UKVI account up to date and ensure your digital visa is linked to your current passport. In the event you need to update your details, you can do so .
