You must wait until your digital immigration status has been issued before travelling to the UK on your Student permission.
We also advise that you do not travel to the UK before your visa has been granted or before the start date of your Student permission.
Prospective students should be aware that genuineness checks may take place at the point of departure.
We have been informed that, in some cases, students with valid entry clearance or digital status have been identified for additional questioning or interview before boarding.
These checks may be carried out by airline staff or by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
In some instances, these assessments have resulted in passengers being refused boarding.
While we cannot confirm the specific reasons why boarding may be denied, reports indicate that issues have included:
