The Home Office have announced some implementation dates for upcoming changes to the immigration rules
Below are some of the key dates announced by the Home Office:
6 February 2024
Immigration Health Surcharge will increase.
- Students and their dependents and youth mobility workers:
- From 拢470.00 to 拢776.00 per year
- All other visa applications
- From 拢624.00 to 拢1035.00 per year
11 March 2024
Care workers and senior care workers will no longer be able to bring dependants. This change will not affect carers already in the UK on Health Care Worker visa.
14 March 2024
Immigration Rules is due to be laid to remove the current 20% going rate discount for jobs in the Shortage Occupations List. Also, expect the publication of the new 鈥業mmigration Salary List鈥�, the date of this new list is yet to be confirmed, indication that it will be early April.
4 April 2024
Increase in the minimum salary required for those applying for a Skilled Worker visa. This will increase from 拢26,200 to 拢38,700. Skilled Worker applications made before this date will continue to be considered against the current minimum thresholds. Salary discount for those towards the start of their careers (including Student Visa and Graduate Visa holders) remains.
11 April 2024
Minimum income requirement to sponsor someone for a family visa will initially increase to 拢29,000. This is set to increase further in stages over the next year, reaching to 拢38,700 by early 2025.
