Adam Trout
Compliance Officer
I work as a Compliance Officer in the Work Based & Professional Learning Team, focusing on the range of Degree Apprenticeship programmes that we offer. The role, which I commenced in April 2025, includes supporting Programme Managers and other stakeholders in ensuring that our programmes operate in accordance with the various rules and regulations that underpin the delivery of Degree Apprenticeships at the university.
I have worked in the Higher Education sector since 2015 and have also previously worked as part of Project and Programme Management teams across both the public and private sectors.
Lucy Newell
Compliance Officer
Starting the role of Compliance Officer in January 2026, I ensure a variety of Degree Apprenticeship Programmes are compliant with regulations. I have previously worked in Compliance for exam boards looking for malpractice within exams. Following this, I worked within the banking industry for onboarding and credit risk. As a previous apprentice myself, the opportunity to help new apprentices is appealing and something I am passionate about.
