The Degree Apprenticeship with UPM will ensure the apprentice develops skills for the future in Manufacturing processes with a focus on quality and improvement.
Manufacturing Degree Apprentice
What you鈥檒l do at work:
- Support the process and quality team by gathering, validating, and analysing key operational data
- Participate in breakdown investigations to identify root causes and improvement opportunities
- Contribute to process design and optimisation activities that enhance operational performance
- Help prioritise improvement initiatives based on data insights and business needs
- Develop a strong understanding of the factors that influence product quality and how performance is monitored
- Support continuous improvement projects, including Lean Six Sigma initiatives
- Assist in investigating process and quality deviations to ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
- Take an active role in site auditing activities, including ISO compliance and follow鈥憉p actions
- You have successfully completed a minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C or 9-5) including English, maths, a Science and a Technology or Engineering related subject
- You will have A鈥檒evels in maths (grade B or above) & a Science, Technology, Engineering or additional Mathematics related subject at grade C or above, or 90+ credits in an Engineering BTEC at level 3

Location: Eastfield
Working Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 4.45pm and Friday, 8.30am - 2.00pm, 36 hours a week.
