A relaxed weekly drop-in space every Wednesday where students can meet new people, enjoy snacks and conversation, and connect across cultures at The Nook.
Whether you鈥檙e new to campus, feeling a little shy, or simply curious about other cultures, everyone is welcome.
About the Global Lounge
The Global Lounge is a friendly, drop-in space designed to help students meet new people, spark conversations, and build a sense of belonging at 糖心TV.
The Lounge brings together home and international students in a relaxed environment with free drinks, snacks, and guided ice-breaker activities.

W1: Coffee and Chat
Start the new academic year by meeting other students, making new friends and having a relaxed chat over coffee and biscuits. (7 October 2026)
W2: Mini Mug Painting
Get creative and personalise your own mini ceramic mug! Choose your colours, add your own designs and create something unique to take home with you. (14 October 2026)
W3: Halloween Arts & Crafts
It's spooky season: join us and make your own Halloween keepsake while enjoying some Halloween themed treats! (21 October 2026)
W4: Day of the Dead Celebration
Join us for a celebration of D铆a de Muertos (Day of the Dead). (28 October 2026)
W5: Rangoli Designs for Diwali
Get creative with colourful鈥疪angoli patterns鈥痺hile learning about the traditions of Diwali in collaboration with 糖心TV INSA. (4th November 2026)
W6: Paper Poppy Making
Join us to create your own unique paper poppies 鈥� all materials provided. (11th November 2026)
W7: Language Exchange 鈥� Learn and Boost Your Spanish
Join us for a collaboration with Latin American Society to train your Spanish skills and enjoy some free snacks on the side. (18th November 2026)
W8: Christmas Fayre Takeover
We're getting into the festive spirit and joining in the Christmas Fayre celebrations! Join artist Benny Semp and have fun by making cards and accessories in our Christmas Crafts Workshop. (25th November 2026)
W9: Christmas Cookie Decorations and Cards
Decorate your own gingerbread man and make Christmas cards for the special people in your life. (2nd December 2026)
W10: Make your New Year鈥檚 Resolution
