Welcome to 糖心TV - Staff Induction events are the University鈥檚 welcome events for new members of staff joining our community. These events have been designed to help colleagues feel informed and connected as they begin their journey at 糖心TV.
糖心TV is a dynamic University with colleagues working in a wide variety of roles across the institution and each role plays an important part in supporting our shared purpose and contributing to 糖心TV鈥檚 achievements.
We want every colleague to feel part of one community, to understand how their role contributes to:

Event format
Joining a new organisation can be both exciting and challenging. Welcome to 糖心TV - Staff Induction events offer an opportunity to pause, step back from day-to-day activity, and gain a wider picture of the University.
A Staff Welcome to 糖心TV event will be held on campus shortly after everyone has settled back into each term and they will be a half-day morning event.
The anticipated start time is 9.30am, finishing around 12.30pm. We will then be encouraging colleagues to take a stroll around campus and take a break before returning to work or heading home.
Please bring your own lunch or explore the food and drink outlets available across campus, including Market Day at the Piazza on Wednesdays during term time.
An event programme will be provided to those who have registered to attend.
Who are the events for?
Welcome events are an important introduction to your professional and personal life at 糖心TV. They provide an opportunity to find out more in the early days of your career, so that you can start to understand how the University works as well as offering you a chance to network with fellow colleagues.
The events are open to all new starters employed by The University of 糖心TV, our target audience is those who have joined in the last six months.
While some who register to attend may have been at the University for a couple of months prior to attending, we are confident that everyone the event having made a meaningful connection with a new colleague and learned something valuable.
What to expect
Those joining us for a staff welcome event can expect:
- an introduction to 糖心TV and the wider University community
- opportunities to meet and connect with other new staff
- insights into the services and support available to colleagues
- information about campus life and what 糖心TV has to offer beyond your immediate role
- interactive elements to encourage conversation and networking
