Tabula release notes

Tabula 2018.2.4

We released Tabula 2018.2.4 on Thursday, 22 February 2018. This version includes an alternative exam grid layout. A new short grid shows only those modules taken by each student. The original full grid continues to show all modules taken by the selected cohort.

In attendance monitoring, we've:

  • improved the page to record attendance against a monitoring point to handle situations where a person does not have permission to record attendance for every student
  • clarified the labels on points recorded automatically to show the reason – for example, an approved meeting record or coursework submission

We've also fixed bugs where:

  • it wasn't possible to save an assignment with a non-moderated reusable marking workflow after you added a new marker
  • email notifications weren't sent to students when marks were adjusted in bulk via the spreadsheet upload method

Tabula 2018.2.3

We released Tabula version 2018.2.3 on Friday, 16 February 2018. This release contains mainly bug fixes.

  • It's now possible to allocate all students who share the same name to markers, when those students are enrolled on the same assignment.
  • The link in a student's activity stream to view feedback now points to the correct page.

Tabula 2018.2.2

Tabula 2018.2.2 was released on Thursday, 8 February 2018. There are no new features this week, just fixes including updates of:

  • the download feedback button – when marking is already in progress, clicking the button no longer produces an empty file
  • links in timetables to small group teaching events – event URLs with trailing slashes now render accurately as links

Tabula 212

Tabula 212 was released on Thursday, 1 February 2018. We've fixed a bug where permanently withdrawn (PWD) students were incorrectly imported from assessment components in SITS. Previously, this caused PWD students to appear in assignments in Tabula and the students could see small group teaching information in their timetable. Following the next import from SITS, which runs tonight, note that PWD students will no longer be displayed in assignments and they will appear as deregistered in small group teaching. Temporarily withdrawn (TWD) students will continue to appear in coursework and small group memberships in SITS.

This version of Tabula also includes the updated moderated marking workflow. When defining the workflow, you can now specify who chooses which submissions go to the moderator. This person can be the administrator, marker or moderator. Previously, all submissions in an assignment went to the moderator. Now you can send a sample of submissions instead. The remaining marked submissions return to the administrator, who checks and publishes the feedback to students.

Tabula 211

We released Tabula 211 on Friday, 26 January 2018. This release contains mainly bug fixes. In particular, we've fixed the issues:

  • that blocked you from recording an extension request
  • with selecting multiple students on the ‘allocate to markers’ screen using drag and drop
