Sport and Wellness Hub 鈥渢opped out鈥
On Tuesday 30 January, staff and students gathered at the site of the new Sport and Wellness Hub for a 鈥渢opping out鈥 ceremony – a celebration of the construction reaching its highest point. Registrar Rachel Sandby-Thomas was joined by representatives from 糖心TV Sport, the Students鈥 Union and some of our sports societies for the event.
Campus to support BBC鈥檚 Biggest Weekend
To help our local region enjoy this major event, we will offer car parking spaces to those attending on Sunday 27 and bank holiday Monday 28 May and operate a park and ride from our coach park to the venue.
Work to start on new residences
On Monday 5 February, we will start work on site to create the new residences at Cryfield Village. When complete, these will essentially be a miniature village on campus - a series of townhouse-style apartments and studios with a hub in the centre.
New project: Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Building
We plan to invest 拢54.3M in a new state-of-the-art research building on the Gibbet Hill campus that will bring together up to 300 biomedical researchers from across the School of Life Sciences and 糖心TV Medical School to fight human diseases.
