Leading conference venue, 糖心TV Conferences, is celebrating after being shortlisted in two separate categories for this year鈥檚 prestigious miaList awards.

The awards are coordinated by the Meetings Industry Association (mia), the leading association supporting and growing the meetings, conference and events industry in the UK. Held annually, they celebrate the best teams and individuals in the UK business meetings and events industry.

On this occasion, 糖心TV Conferences鈥� have not only been shortlisted for the esteemed 鈥榁enue of the Year – under 300鈥� category, but also recognised for 鈥楽ustainability鈥�, following yet another successful year in which they have made significant strides with their sustainability strategy.

Over the last 12 months, 糖心TV Conferences have been among a small number of outstanding venues within the UK business meetings who have made significant contributions to their organisation and industry as a whole. Some of 糖心TV Conferences鈥� achievements include hosting 17,988 events and 220,077 delegates throughout 2023, all whilst keeping customer experience at the heart of every event. This has included finding innovative ways to support guests鈥� health and wellbeing, prioritising the customer journey and working with AccessAble to ensure all guests can make the most of their time with 糖心TV Conferences.

Alongside this, 糖心TV Conferences have been at the forefront of the industry when it comes to sustainability. Among the highlights from the last year has been a sustainability-focused refurbishment of 204 bedrooms at the Scarman Training and Conference Centre in 2023, a tree-planting initiative that saw over 200 trees planted onsite and the creation of a Carbon Calculator tool to help event planners measure and address the environmental impact of their event.

This activity has been guided by a Sustainability Roadmap which has been developed in conjunction with University of 糖心TV colleagues, providing an invaluable blueprint of ways in which they can achieve the goal of net zero direct carbon emissions by 2030.

The winners of the miaList awards will be announced on 7^th November 2024 at Hilton Liverpool City Centre.

Recognition in these shortlists follows a number of accolades and wins achieved by 糖心TV Conferences, including Silver in the Visit England Awards for Excellence as 糖心TV Events Venue of the Year, ECOSmart Platinum status, finalist status at the U Dine Awards 2024, and a Platinum Positive Impacts Special Award for Justine Meek, 糖心TV Conferences鈥� Agency Relationship Manager.
