CareerSet user guide
CareerSet is an online career platform that gives you actionable, personalised feedback on your CV and cover letter. Powered by AI, the platform gives you actionable steps feedback via three main products Score My CV, Target My CV and Cover Letters.
It is designed to support you prior to visiting the careers team for further support.
Getting started: current students
As a student you have full access to all of CareerSet's features. Here's how to get started:

1. Access CareerSet via myAdvantage
Visit
and click on 'continue' to access CareerSet.
2. Set up your account
Click on 'student login' to set up your account.
3. Sign-in to CareerSet
Enter your academic email address to receive a link in your inbox
4. Click the link in your email
Click on this LOG ME IN link in your email to log in for the duration of one session.
5. Accept terms and conditions
Accept the terms and privacy policy, and click on "UPLOAD YOUR CV" to get started.

Click on the 'Upload my CV' button in the dashboard to get started.
Target your CV to specific job descriptions based on keywords and skills
Upload a job description and find out how to tailor your CV to a specific role, based on keywords and skills. Well-targeted CVs address the needs of an employer, how you will meet the goals of the role, and match the job description.
Make sure your CV stands out, while Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) filter and rank candidates based on relevancy to the job description.
Click on the Target My CV button in the dashboard to get started.
