Risk and Time 'Anomalies': Parallel Patterns? Common Causes?
The idea is to look at a few 'regularities' in risk decisions and intertemporal decisions that look rather similar. Are they? Do they tap into some underlying traits, such as a tendency to confound difference judgments and ratio judgments? If there are some 'phenomena' we have seen in risk experiments but not in time experiments, what would the time 'analogues' look like - and have they been tried out and found not to operate, or haven't they been tried. Likewise for phenomena seen in intertemporal choice - do their risk analogues exist/work?
