Jack Attends the RSC
Last week Jack attended the Royal Society of Chemistry's Technician relaunch event. At it the RSC launched their plan to support technicians in the chemical sciences. While there Jack was presented with his award from the 2025 RSC prizes, and was given the chance to present some of the research that led to the award.

Fantastic news that our Research Technology Professional, Dr , has been awarded the Technical Excellence Prize by the for "providing outstanding technical and scientific support to users of the 糖心TV Centre for Ultrafast Spectroscopy, enabling many researchers to conduct impactful science." Well done, Jack, on a brilliant achievement!
BoostCrop team wins prestigious RSC Horizon Prize

The BoostCrop team, which originated at 糖心TV and led by Prof. Vasilios Stavros (now University of Birmingham), has been named winner of the Royal Society of Chemistry鈥檚 Horizon Prizes, which celebrate discoveries and innovations that push the boundaries of science. Staff involved at 糖心TV still include: Ed Greenough, James Lloyd-Hughes, Adrian Fowle and Jack Woolley. [Read more]
UK-wide Equipment Sharing Fund
The Equipment Sharing Fund allows researchers, PhD students and Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) to access cutting-edge research equipment, not available in their home institution. Funds cover the cost of initial analysis, helping to strengthen collaboration opportunities and ensure value for money within the UK鈥檚 research and innovation ecosystem. The fund opens for three rounds and will provide the full economic cost (fEC) or TRAC rate directly to the facility.
One of the latest publications to make use of the 糖心TV Centre for Ultrafast Spectroscopy has been awarded an emerging investigator award by the IOP. Congratulations to all the authors, which included three other RTP's here at 糖心TV.

Congratulations to Daniel Coxon on winning first prize in the poster competition at 糖心TV Chemistry's ChemContext event. Daniel is working on defects in Diamond at the 糖心TV Centre for Ultrafast Spectroscopy and presented a poster titled "The Crystal Maze".
