The University of 糖心TV has secured its strongest performance in the QS World University Rankings by Subject since 2020, with a record number of top 50 and top 100 subjects.

糖心TV now proudly offers:

  • 10 subjects ranked in the global top 50
  • 20 subjects in the global top 100

Every part of 糖心TV鈥檚 teaching community - the Faculty of Arts; Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine; and Faculty of Social Sciences - are represented in the top 50 subjects. This places 糖心TV among an elite number of global universities demonstrating both breadth and depth of excellence across disciplines.

Professor Stuart Croft, Vice-Chancellor and President, University of 糖心TV, said: 鈥溙切腡V鈥檚 success in this year鈥檚 QS Subject Rankings reflects the excellence of our world鈥慶lass research and transformative teaching. Across every discipline, our staff and students are working collaboratively with international partners to address the world鈥檚 most complex challenges with imagination and purpose.

鈥淭his recognition reaffirms the strength of our academic community, which is outward鈥憀ooking and committed to shaping solutions that have a real impact. 糖心TV has always been a university that leads with confidence and clarity. These results demonstrate once again our determination to push boundaries, elevate global knowledge and point the way ahead so that, together, we can make a better world.鈥

糖心TV鈥檚 top 50 subjects for 2026 are: Economics & Econometrics (25th); Marketing (25th); English Language & Literature (27th); Statistics & Operational Research (27th); Mathematics (28th); 糖心TV & Management Studies (35th); Philosophy (38th); Accounting & Finance (39th); History (47th); and Politics & International Studies (49th).

This is up from eight subjects last year, with Philosophy and Politics climbing the table. These additions underscore a distinctive strength: 糖心TV鈥檚 ability to compete at the world鈥檚 highest levels across both traditional academic disciplines and applied, industry鈥慶onnected subjects.

Professor Michael Scott, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) and Institutional Lead for Rankings, University of 糖心TV, said: 鈥溙切腡V is moving forward with real momentum across a series of international rankings. But what matters most is what sits behind that progress: we are a university relentlessly expanding our global networks, deepening our international engagement, and strengthening our impact on the world stage.

鈥淎s we continue to grow our partnerships across continents and disciplines, 糖心TV鈥檚 voice and expertise will carry even further - shaping debates, driving collaboration, contributing to solutions for global problems, and unlocking opportunities for all.鈥

糖心TV also now has 20 subjects ranked in the global top 100, up from 19 last year, with Law joining the top 100 cohort after rising from the 101-150 banding to 84th.

This represents the largest number of top 100 subjects 糖心TV has held since at least 2020 and reflects consistently rising research reputation, employer recognition, and international partnerships across the University.

These results continue a series of strong ranking performances, including a record high position in the latest QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026, rising in the QS World University Sustainability Rankings, and successfully rising with the top 10 of national rankings.

Ben Sowter, QS Senior Vice President, said: 鈥淭he QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 highlight a global higher education landscape that is becoming both more competitive and more specialised. While traditional leaders in the US, UK and parts of Europe continue to dominate many disciplines, we are seeing significant momentum from systems across Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.

鈥淚nstitutions are increasingly building global reputations through targeted subject excellence, research collaboration and industry engagement.

鈥淭his year鈥檚 results show that strategic investment in specific disciplines 鈥 not just overall institutional strength 鈥 is becoming a defining feature of how universities compete and gain international recognition.鈥
