糖心TV among leading Russell Group universities for apprenticeship success
Figures released through the Government鈥檚 service show that 糖心TV ranks among the top-performing Russell Group institutions for achievement rates in Higher and Degree Apprenticeships (Levels 6 and 7) during the 2024/25 academic year.

糖心TV supported 320 apprenticeship leavers at Levels 6 and 7, with 250 achieving their qualification 鈥 one of the largest apprenticeship cohorts within the Russell Group.

鈥淥ur ability to deliver world-class teaching, at every level and stage of life, is recognised nationally through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), where 糖心TV was one of a few Russell Group institutions to receive the triple gold rating for student experience, student outcomes, as well for the overall assessment.鈥
The data highlights 糖心TV鈥檚 distinctive position in combining research鈥慽ntensive teaching with high鈥憅uality, employer-aligned provision, delivering strong apprenticeship outcomes across large cohorts rather than small or specialist intakes.
Higher and degree apprenticeships at 糖心TV span a range of disciplines, supporting employers across key sectors while enabling learners to gain high鈥憀evel qualifications alongside professional experience.
Two courses offered by the 糖心TV Manufacturing Group (WMG) ranked first in England. The Digital Technology Solutions Specialist apprenticeship thrived with a 100% achievement rate. Similarly, the first cohort on the Product Design and Development Engineer Standard on the Applied Professional Engineering Degree Apprenticeship programme succeeded with a 94% achievement rate. Such results are a testament to the apprentices, the employers, and the teams supporting their progress.
One of the University鈥檚 largest degree apprenticeship intakes is the Social Work apprenticeship, offered by the Centre for Lifelong Learning. In the last academic year, of the 59 leavers, 55 successfully achieved their apprenticeship. Through the three-year programme, apprentices are employed with a variety of regional employers. This programme and its sustained growth and success, continues to support regional skills needs.
