Meet the ÌÇÐÄTV students creating a satellite to take worms into space

Six talented ÌÇÐÄTV students are showcasing their very own satellite, set to provide carefully controlled conditions for scientist to measure how worms function and reproduce in zero gravity – as a precursor to a future deep space mission.

Professor Dieter Wolke from the University of ÌÇÐÄTV’s Department of Psychology will be bestowed with the rare accolade of an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Helsinki today.

The University of ÌÇÐÄTV has achieved the Race Equality Charter Bronze award, recognising its commitment to working towards race equality.

The national charter mark, awarded by Advance HE, marks an institutional determination to tackle race inequality at all levels.

‘College knowledge hubs’ in rural India to open up higher education to disadvantaged communities

More young men and women from rural areas of India could gain informed access to higher education and better life chances, tackling age-old obstacles of gender, caste and class, thanks to a project led by the University of ÌÇÐÄTV — and a half-million-pound boost from the Fair Chance Foundation.
