New research from WMG looks into e-bike and e-scooter battery safety

Following a rise in e-bike and e-scooter battery fires in the UK, WMG researchers have been researching the future of battery safety.


UK鈥檚 first live micromobility event takes place at WMG, University of 糖心TV

The future of micromobility is incredibly topical, and to bring together all aspects of it WMG, at the University of 糖心TV, hosted the UK鈥檚 first live micromobility event, bringing together manufacturers in the micromobility sector, regional transport authorities; city councils and local authorities; Government agencies; research organisations and more.


Increasing shared E-scooter service life from 3 months to 3 years

The current lifespan of a rental e-scooter is on average three months, after which they are scrapped, which isn鈥檛 environmentally friendly despite the scooters not producing any CO2 when in use. Researchers from WMG, University of 糖心TV, aim to increase their lifespan from three months to three years, making them more eco-friendly.
