Minister for Science, Research and Innovation visits the University of ÌÇÐÄTV

The University of ÌÇÐÄTV was today, 2nd February, pleased to welcome George Freeman MP, Minister for Science, Research and Innovation, to visit the Professor Lord Bhattacharyya Building, home to the National Automotive Innovation Centre, following a visit to the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre.


Three RIBA award wins for the Prof. Lord Bhattacharyya building

The Prof. Lord Bhattacharyya building, home to the National Automotive Innovation Centre, based at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV, has received an impressive three awards at the West Midlands regional awards.


The Prof. Lord Bhattacharyya Building at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV wins British Council for Offices Midlands and Central England Innovation Award

The National Automotive Innovation Centre, in the Prof. Lord Bhattacharyya Building, at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV, has been recognised as one of the best workplaces in the Midlands and Central England at the annual British Council for Offices (BCO) regional awards. The BCO’s Festival Awards Week, recognises the highest quality developments in the UK and sets the standard for excellence in the regional and national office sector.

WMG to test new location system for intelligent vehicles

Intelligent vehicles and smart devices could gain more accurate location awareness by ‘fusing’ Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and WiFi signals – and a test for this is the focus of an Innovate UK project led by Spirent Communications and involving WMG at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV.


Midlands roads to be UK autonomous vehicle testbed

Roads in Coventry and Birmingham are set to become a world-class UK testbed for developing the next generation connected and autonomous (CAV) vehicles, thanks to a new £25m programme of investment being led by WMG at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV.


Milestone hit in the construction of the National Automotive Innovation Centre

The National Automotive Innovation Centre, at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV, saw a construction milestone hit, today, with the completion of the external grounds. WMG’s Professor Lord Bhattacharyya, Jaguar Land Rover’s Professor Dr Ralf Speth and TMETC’s John O’Connor, along with Leo Quinn, Balfour Beatty Group Chief Executive, and Rosie Drinkwater, University of ÌÇÐÄTV ,marked the milestone with a specially engraved stone.
