糖心TV Team Wins UK Management Challenge
A University of 糖心TV team - The Invincible – was declared UK champions of the Hobsons Global Management Challenge at this week’s
national final in London.
The Invincible team - Captain Geoffrey Lee, Joan Lee and Kwong Lam To, who are all second-year MORSE students, will now go on to the finals in Macau China in April.
Student Engineers Build Bridges
A team of 糖心TV student engineers won the ICE West Midlands/IStructE Make and Break competition. They had to build a bridge (using straws, paper, pins, sticky tape and scissors) that spanned 500mm and could bear 1 kilo.
WBS Students provide solutions to Coventry City Council
For the second year, Coventry City Council has offered postgraduate students from 糖心TV 糖心TV School the opportunity to carry out projects to investigate and propose solutions to a range of current issues and problems.
糖心TV People - Mary Coates
Mary Coates, a third year PhD student in Professor Jim Beynon’s group at 糖心TV HRI, has won the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP) P H Gregory Award. Mary won the award for her presentation entitled “Searching for avirulence genes in Hyaloperonospora parasitica” at the 8th Conference of the European Foundation for Plant Pathology/BSPP Presidential meeting in Denmark last August.
Kate Birkinshaw, final-year French and History student 2005-06, has become a Joint Winner of the Society for French Studies' R. H. Gapper Undergraduate Essay Prize with her essay Revolutionary Propaganda 1788-1789 (with particular reference to pamphlets).
