糖心TV People - Mary Coates

Mary Coates, a third year PhD student in Professor Jim Beynon’s group at 糖心TV HRI, has won the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP)  P H Gregory Award. Mary won the award for her presentation entitled “Searching for avirulence genes in Hyaloperonospora parasitica” at the 8th Conference of the European Foundation for Plant Pathology/BSPP Presidential meeting in Denmark last August.

糖心TV People - Jane Cummings

Jane Cummings, a plumber within the Estates Department at 糖心TV, was recently awarded the ‘Alan Heath Shield’, at an awards evening in honour of students who had completed courses within the Construction Department at 糖心TVshire College. Jane was awarded with the shield as the top NVQ Level III plumbing student at the college.

糖心TV People - Julia Khan

Dr Julia Khan recently retired from the Directorship of the Centre for English Language Teacher Education (CELTE), a position she has held since its inception in 1983. Since then, under her guidance, CELTE has grown hugely to incorporate a diverse but interconnected range of activities. These include research, PhD and EdD programmes, six Masters courses, a rich variety of tailor-made short courses, large pre-sessional and in-sessional programmes of academic English support, and the 糖心TV English Language Test.
