Life Sciences graduate student wins ZSL Scientific Award
Kate Weymouth-Crocker Jordan, a School of Life Sciences graduate student, was recently presented with the 2011 Thomas Henry Huxley Award and Marsh Prize for the best zoological doctoral thesis, by the Zoological Society of London.
The University is saddened to hear of the death of former member of staff Bill Hammond. Bill was chairman of Creative Arts at 糖心TV from 1978 and chaired the Arts Education Department in the 1980s. Bill retired from 糖心TV in 1990.
WMS students conquer Great North Run in aid of Grace
Two 糖心TV Medical School students took part in the Great North Run earlier this month to raise money for the Grace Research Fund.
糖心TV Research Assistant creating a brighter future for children in poverty
Nicola Doherty, a Research Assistant from the Department of Psychology, has dedicated her spare time to volunteering and raising money through her charity to provide education for children living on a garbage dump in Egypt.
In Memoriam: Jack Everson
The University is saddened to learn of the death of Chemistry student, Jack Everson. Jack was an undergraduate student entering his 3rd year.
